Much of what you’ve been told about nutrition is wrong according to filmmaker Brian Sanders. He takes up through much of the history of nutrition that will surprise most listeners.

He presents a history of nutrition and dietary guidelines that weren’t based on scientific evidence like we’ve been lead to believe including false studies that lead to advice that has caused a lot of harm. New research however is pointing to better health and Brian walks us through it.

More about Brian Sanders

Brian graduated from UCLA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and then turned to technology where he started and sold an app company.

He’s used his technical background and love for fitness & nutrition to also work as a Health Coach and be the co-founder of the health, media, and technology company SAPIEN.

Brian is also the filmmaker behind the feature-length documentary Food Lies and is the host of the Peak Human podcast.

The documentary Food Lies examines the scandals and misinformation in health & nutrition that has led to what he calls harmful dietary guidelines such as the former food pyramid, my plate, and various food guides that have caused poor health.
